Outstanding Public Services

Across Ohio local Democratic leaders have proven that they are fiscally responsible and can provide outstanding government services with little or no additional support from Columbus or Washington. We must end one-party rule at the Statehouse that has proven to be irresponsible with our tax dollars. One party rule has led to special interest politics that put profits ahead of pensioners who are counting on the state to operate responsible pension fund systems to fund their retirement and health care. One-party rule has exploded the offering of risky experimental schemes like school vouchers that siphon money from public education. One-party rule has crafted tax doges for large corporations. In 2001, six of Ohio’s largest 50 corporations paid only $50 in taxes.
